Android 12 is here: Install Android 12 now on any realme smartphone

Google announced Android 12 in Google I/O 2021 and it brings the Complete Design Changes with all-new Material You Design Language and new Notification Panel, new and redesigned Control Center, New Privacy features. I have made an Article on Android 12, do checkout (Android 12).

Ever since Google announced Android 12, People are very much excited and anticipated to taste the very first release of Android 12, Out of 3 billion android users globally, Many of them might be tech enthusiasts and wanted to experience android 12. Currently, android 12 Beta 1 is available only on supported Pixel devices / Other Android devices. There’s also another way to install Android 12 is by flashing a generic system image (GSI). GSI is the Purest Form of android with unmodified Android Open Source Project (AOSP) code. GSI can be flashed on any android device which supports project treble. (Project Treble was introduced in Android 8.0)

There are many issues while installing AOSP GSI and users are getting stuck on the boot loop after installing it.

Still, if you want to experience Android 12? 

Here’s a solution, I’ve brought for you to install Android 12 on your android by using Pixel GSI. To install Android 12 on your device you need a PC and check whether your device supports Project Treble. And make sure you have an unlocked bootloader.

Android 12 First Impressions:

I’ve installed Android on my realme 2 Pro and it’s a very easy process to install. If you follow the Steps properly which I’ll be sharing with you below.

Look at the above images, you can see the new Lock screen and how notification shapes are redesigned. Look how the lock screen looks when the screen is turned off / On and when you get notifications. You get an all-new redesigned Lock screen keypad. Also, look at the fourth image which shows you the new Lock Screen Clock.

Look at the all-new redesigned Control Panel and Notification panel. See how Notifications are arranged and they are curved all-sided. Silent notifications and other notifications are separated.

Android 12 settings: 

The all-new Settings Menu of Android 12, comes with many more Colours. And it’s on the latest May Security Patch with April Google Play System Update.

You also get to see two new features; Improved Touch sensitivity in the Display section which improves your touch sensitivity when you are using a Screen Protector and Extra dim is available in the Accessibility menu. Extra dim decreases the brightness levels of Your devices which will help you at night and you can also change the sensitivity according to your needs.

Opinion:

The GSI I’ve installed is Pixel version GSI and not all the features of Android 12 are available. You get a new Lock Screen Keypad for Passcode, Bigger Clock on the lock screen, New and redesigned Control center, and Notification Panel. After Flashing it, you will get to see only core apps like Dialer, Settings, Messages, Play store, Google Files, Android Auto, Contacts, Google Search, Chrome, Calculator, Pixel Tips, Sim Toolkit, and Clock. After flashing GSI, By default, you get the old Control center. To get the new Android Control Center you need to enable SystemUIGX from Control Center.

The UI isn’t that Stable as it’s a beta, you get to see many options getting Crashed even most of the apps got crashed apps like Twitter, WhatsApp is getting crashed. You often get to see System UI isn’t responding promptly. You won’t get to see any Camera application as it’s a GSI and you can’t even use the Camera on other Social Media Apps too.

I won’t recommend you to install it if you are a normal user and think it has all the features can use like normal no it won’t. It’s for the users who want to test and see it, Anyway, after installing it everyone will go back to your Previous Android.

Method to Install Android 12 GSI:

First Download the Zip file from the Drive link Given below and extract the Zip file into a Folder. Before installing Android 12 GSI keep a backup of your data.

Steps:

• Now Enable the USB Debugging on your Smartphone, First, enable the developer option from Settings > About Phone > Build number Tap 7 times and enter a passcode (if you enable any lock screen Passcode). Now head on to Setting > System > Developer Option Turn it on and enable USB Debugging.
• Connect Your Smartphone with Your PC, You will get a Prompt on Your Smartphone allow it. 
• Once Your Smartphone is connected, Now run Command Prompt on Your PC and next run the following command, ADB devices, and make sure you see your device in the list.
• Now run command ADB reboot bootloader, which takes your device into Bootloader.
• Now type fastboot flash vbmeta and Copy vbmeta. img from the extracted folder, paste it besides it, and run the command.

• Now type fastboot erase system and run it, it will wipe the System Partition.

• After wiping enter the fastboot flash system and copy the system. img from the folder and paste beside it and run the command.
