Connectivity:

Pairing the realme Buds wireless 2 with your smartphone is so simple and easy. As it comes with the Google Fast pair.

To pair them with your smartphone you just need to pull out earbuds from a magnetic connection and realme buds wireless 2 will be visible in the Bluetooth devices list on your smartphone and now pair them.

The Pairing is fast and works fine. After pairing every time you need not pair them. To connect it with your smartphone you just need to Pull out the Earbuds from a Magnetic connection and it will get connected to your smartphone. To Disconnect them you connect the magnets and it will get disconnected and goes to power-saving mode.

sometimes I’ve faced issues connecting them with my smartphone. When I pull out the earbuds it takes a bit longer to connect and I hope this issue will be fixed via an Update.

The connection range is good and it comes with Bluetooth 5.0 with a connectivity range of 10 meters. I didn’t face any issue in the connection range in my usage.

Call Quality and Microphone:

Realme Buds Wireless 2 comes with VocPlus Al Noise Cancellation for Calls and the Call Quality was Great and Noise Cancellation does the Job.

As these are Neckband earphones the Mic Quality is Good and it works Fine. You won’t be having any issues using them outside while in Calls.

Controls:

For Controlling your Earphone you get a full range of controls options. As you get Complete control buttons on the right end of the neckband.

It includes Volume Buttons, Multi-Function, and an ANC button. Using Multi-function Button, you can Play / Pause Music, Skip / Play Previous Track, Answer/disconnect the call, and use voice assistant by long pressing on it.

With the ANC button, you get even more options like changing the Noise Cancellation mode to Normal / Transparency.

Double click on the ANC button will switch devices. And Long pressing the ANC mode will enable Gaming Mode.

You can make alterations to the function button’s settings and its actions using the realme Link App.

Realme Buds Wireless 2 Latency:

Latency is the biggest issue of any Bluetooth earphones and one of the drawbacks of wireless earphones. Like every other Bluetooth neckband, it does have Latency.

You won’t find any Lip sync issue or Lag while listening to music / Watching Videos. The problem arises when you start using them for Gaming. The latency is so bad that you can’t play the game well there’s a delay of 2-3 seconds.

But don’t worry you can manage it with the Game Mode which is available on realme Buds Wireless 2. Using Game Mode the latency of the earphones drops down to as low as 88ms. In-Game Mode the latency is very low and you could do play your favorite games and get Chicken dinner using the Buds wireless 2.

Using them with Game mode enabled, I couldn’t find any lag in audio while Gaming. And you can use them for gaming even though if there’s any lag in audio the difference is negligible.

Noise Cancellation and other Modes:

After seeing the title you might have got an idea about this.

We have seen many Budget neckbands which come with the ANC and the ANC on them isn’t that effective and they aren’t the True ANC.

Even realme Buds Wireless 2 Comes with ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) with up to 25dB. The ANC of realme Buds Wireless 2 surprised me.

Yes, you heard it right the ANC on the realme Buds Wireless 2 isn’t a Gimmick and it does the job by reducing the Background noise around you to some extend.

Realme calling it ‘Democratizing ANC‘ and they are trying to offer it at affordable prices. ANC on this isn’t a Gimmick like any other earphones and it’s an awesome feature to have.

When it comes to other Modes along with ANC you also get Normal and Transparency Mode. Using Transparency mode you can hear what’s going in the surrounding around you without taking off your earbuds.

Sound Quality:

This is the Most Important and Difficult Part of any Audio Product review.

We have seen everything gone right with the realme Buds Wireless 2 and when it comes to the Audio Quality, Realme Buds Wireless 2 packs a 13.6mm Bass boosted Driver which is Co-tuned by realme and Chain Smokers.

The Audio Quality is Simply Amazing and thanks to the Large Drivers you get Punch and Deep bass with the Music. The Mids and Highs are on-point. The Stereo Separation is Great and the bass you get is not a Muddy. It comes with Sony LDAC Bluetooth audio Codec with Hi-res audio Support.

You can use them to Experience Hi-res music streaming on Apple Music. In my testing, I’ve used Apple Music in Hi-res mode.

Kindly, note that Music streaming at Hi-res mode consumes a lot of Data.

You can Customize the Sound Signature of the Buds Wireless 2 according to Your Preference. As realme Buds, Wireless 2 comes with three sound presets available in the realme Link App. You will also get the Firmware updates which can be done using the realme Link app.

It has three Modes, Bass Boosted, Dynamic and Bright mode. I’ve tried and tested all three modes. Dynamic Mode is the Best of all three modes as it’s more on the Balanced side with Batter Sound Signature. The bass Mode just Boosts the Bass and lowers the others and the Bright mode highlights the Vocals and lowers the Bass. To get a higher volume you can enable volume enhancer on the realme link app.

I’ll suggest you go with the Dynamic Mode as it Balances the Mids, Lows, and Highs. The Vocals and Bass is good.

Battery life:

Realme Buds Wireless 2 will give up to 22hrs Battery Life on Single Charge without ANC and on AAC codec and with ANC turned on it would last up to 18hrs.

Another Biggest highlight of these earbuds is it’s Battery life and Fast Charging Support. Using LDAC Audio Codec it will last up to 11 hrs with ANC off and 10hrs with ANC on. All these are at 50% volume levels.

I’ve used it all the time on LDAC Audio Codec. I got around 8-9 hrs with ANC on and on LDAC Codec. With ANC off it will last around 9-10 hrs. With AAC codec with ANC off, you should easily get around 18-19 hrs, and with ANC on it might last around 17-18 hrs.

No need to worry if your earbuds get out of Juice. It comes with Super Dart Fast Charging support. With super Dart, a charge of 10 minutes will give you 120 minutes of Playback time. And the Complete earphones will get charged in under 50 minutes.

Conclusion:

It’s Time for the Conclusion, Do the realme Buds Wireless 2 Worth its asking price of Rs. 2,299?

Yes definitely realme Buds wireless 2 is an Amazing Bluetooth Neckband offering under 2.5k. It offers pretty much everything you could get at its price. You get ANC, Transparency mode, Good sound quality, LDAC with Hi-res support, Fast Charging, and app support with firmware updates.

There’s another option and a competitor to Buds wireless 2 is the Oppo Enco M31. Oppo enco m31 also has LDAC with Hi-res audio but it lacks all the remaining features which realme offers.

Oppo Enco m31 also has less battery life and it won’t get software updates, No ANC, and no fast charging support. And It is now available at Rs. 1,999.

Realme Buds wireless 2 makes a Better and Sensible Choice over Oppo Enco M31 at Rs. 2,299. At 2,299 by paying 300 extra over the Enco M31 you shouldn’t ignore all the extra’s you are getting.

As of now realme Buds Wireless 2 is undoubtedly the Best neckband you could get for under Rs. 2,500 in India. It is priced at Rs. 2,299 you can buy it from Flipkart and realme.com.
