Apple launches new MacBook Pros with M1 Pro and M1 Max, 120hz ProMotion Display, and much more.

Apple announced the all-new MacBook Pro models Powered by apple’s silicon in the Unleashed Event. Apple Launched two new MacBook Pro devices Powered by the most powerful and efficient apple silicon M1 Pro and M1 Max. 

Along with the new MacBooks, Apple also launched the new 3rd gen AirPods with Spatial Audio and more.

MacBook Pro:

Apple announced the two new 14-inch and a 16-inch MacBook Pro Powered by the latest and the Powerful apple’s M1 Pro and M1 Max. The new MacBook Pro brings liquid retina XDR ProMotion, better battery life, more ports, and much more.

Design & Display:

The all-new MacBook Pros come with an all-new Design with thin Bezels and a Notch on the front. The Notch at the Top of the display packs a 1080P FaceTime HD Camera. The new MacBook Pro features the Liquid retina XDR Display and they come with ProMotion 120hz. Both the MacBook Pro models are available in two colors Silver and Space Grey.

They come in two Display Sizes a 14-inches and 16-inches. The 14-inch model has a 14.2-inch Liquid Retina XDR Display with 3024×1964 resolution and the 16-inch model has a 16.2-inch Liquid Retina XDR Display with 3456×2234 resolution. They come with ProMotion with a 120hz Adaptive refresh rate.

Both the Screens have up to 1000nits Sustained brightness and has a peak brightness of 1600nits with a contrast ratio of 10,00,000:1.

Performance:

MacBook 14-inch is powered by the new Apple Silicon M1 Pro. M1 Pro has a 10-Core CPU with 16-Core GPU and 16-Core Neural Engine with 33.7 billion transistors. The Soc is capable of two external Displays and has the support of up to 32GB unified memory with 200GB/s bandwidth.

While the 16-inch MacBook Pro is powered by the most powerful M1 Max. It is by far the Powerful Soc ever on a Notebook. M1 Max has a 10-Core CPU with 32-Core GPU and 16-Core Neural Engine with an insane 57 billion transistors. The Soc supports up to four external Displays. And has the support of up to 64GB unified memory with 400GB/s memory bandwidth.

Not only that both the M1 Pro and M1 Max are also capable of encoding and decoding ProRes videos and both the Socs have apple’s secure enclave. Both the M1 Max and M1 Pro are built on a 5nm Process and it is not only powerful but also power efficient. These Socs also have Thunderbolt 4 support. They also pack advanced thermal architecture to maintain the thermals of the soc.

The New Macbooks has up to 64GB unified memory and 8TB Storage. The CPU performance is up to 3.7x faster and GPU performance is up to 13x faster compared to its predecessor. The Storage used on the MacBook Pros is 2x faster.

Audio:

When it comes to the Audio department, the MacBook Pro 14-inch and 16-inch packs a 6 speaker Sound system with two tweeters and four full-range Speakers. The sound system supports Spatial Audio which Provides a theatre-like experience.

They also come with three Studio-Quality Mics which improve Face time voice clarity and reduces noise.

Connectivity:

For I/O, MacBook Pro has an HDMI Port, Thunderbolt 4, SDXC on the right of the device, and the left side, you get 2x Thunderbolt 4 Ports, a HeadPhone Jack, and a MagSafe port. For Connectivity, it has Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth V5.0.

Software and security:

For Security, it comes with Apple’s Touch ID and it runs on the latest macOS Monterey.

Battery:

New MacBook Pros also has better battery life now. The 14-inch MacBook packs a 70-watt-hour battery that can last up to 17hrs on movie playback. On the other hand, the 16-inch MacBook packs a 100-watt-hour battery that can last up to 21hrs on movie playback. It supports Fast charging and can charge up to 50% in 30 minutes.

Pricing and Availability:

MacBook Pro-14-inch Starts at Rs. 1,94,900 while the 16-inch MacBook Pro starts at Rs. 2,39,900. Pro-orders are live on Apple India Store and the First sale starts on 26 October in India.
