Dizo realme’s eco-system brand has launched many AIOT Products in India which include Smart Watches, Audio products, and other lifestyle products.
Dizo recently launched Dizo Watch 2 in India at aggressive pricing. It was launched in India at Rs. 2,999 and was available at Rs. 1,999 in the First Sale.
I’ve been using Dizo Watch 2 for a while now and here’s my detailed review of Dizo Watch 2 company’s first non-rebranded Product.
Dizo Watch 2 review:
Dizo Watch 2 Box Contains the watch itself along with a User manual and a Magnetic Charger.
Display & Design:
Dizo Watch 2 features a 1.69 inches TFT LCD Display with 2.5D Curved Glass. The Display is the key highlight of the Watch. And it is bright enough with a peak brightness of 600nits and the outdoor visibility isn’t an issue at all. It comes in four color Variants- Black, White, Pink, and Grey.
It comes with a rectangular shaped Dial and the Bezels of the display are negligible Considering the Price. The details on the watch are very clear and there are no issues in reading the text. The Touch response of the Display is on point it responses immediately. You need not press hard to use.
Note: I recommend using a Screen Protector immediately after buying as there’s no information about the Protection used for the display.
The Indoor Visibility is Great. It is visible even under the bright sunlight when you set the brightness level to the max. The touch response of the display is good, it responses instantly. The Watch has only five Watch faces in it and for additional watch faces you need to use Dizo App. It has around 100 watch faces available in the app. You can also customize the watch faces by using any images from your Gallery.
Here are some of the Watch faces available on the Dizo App.
Build & Comfort:
The SmartWatch comes with 20MM Silicon Straps and the dial is made of Zinc Alloy which gives it a premium look and feels. The Watch feels light and sturdy even though it has a metal frame the watch doesn’t feel heavy. It fits your wrist perfectly with the Provided strap. These are replaceable straps you can replace them with third Party watch Straps.
I’ve used the Watch almost 24 /7 wearing on my wrist and I never felt any issues wearing it and it is very comfortable. The strap material feels good and is skin-friendly too. It doesn’t irritate the skin when you wear it for a long period.
Dizo Watch 2 also comes with 5ATM Water resistance. You can wear it up to a depth of 50 meters underwater. You can wear it comfortably for swimming, Showers and even in rain. I’ve used it when it is raining and have done the water testing the watch is working fine.
Performance & UI:
Let’s talk about the UI of the watch. The UI is simple like any other Budget SmartWatch like you get to see the Control center on the right swipe from the home screen. When you swipe left you will see an Activity tracker, Sleep data, Heart rate monitoring, Weather Forecast followed by Music Control.
Swipe from top shows notifications. When you swipe up it takes you to the menu where you find different menus. You get an Activity tracker, Heart rate and SPO2 Monitoring, Stop Watch, Alarm, Sleep data, Sports activity record, Timer, Weather Forecast, Sports modes, Find My Device, and the Settings menu.
You can also change the menu style from settings and can set it to either Grid or List Style. To Change the Watch face either hold on to the home screen or choose from the settings. Along with Menu style settings, there are many other options available in the settings like Screen time, Vibration Strength, Shut down, reset, and About, etc. The Power button on the right of the device works as a Home Screen and Lock button. The watch also has Multi-Language Support.
There were no lags when scrolling through the Watch menu and even while using any Option. UI of the Dizo Watch 2 is very well optimized, it’s Fast, Smooth, and responsive. Usually, at this price point, the smart watch’s UI isn’t that well optimized, and can notice the lag while using them Good Job Dizo.
Health Tracking and other Features:
Dizo Watch 2 comes with a total of 16 Sports modes. Recently Swimming mode has been added to it via a Firmware Update. The Sports modes include cricket, Outdoor Run, Strength Training, Basketball, Swimming, Yoga, etc.
It also Packs Heart rate and SPO2 Blood Oxygen Monitoring. They work good and the tracking doesn’t work on non-human subjects and the reading are very close to readings from Oximeter with a difference of 1 or 2 units. I was shocked with the sleep monitoring and surprisingly it’s fairly accurate, I’ve noted the time before sleeping and noted the time when I woke up and it’s very close to the sleep tracking readings. The Watch also comes with Breathe Training and Female Menstruation Cycle.
The SmartWatch also has a raise to wake feature, Call Notifications, Notifications from messages and third-party apps, Weather forecasts, Do Not Disturb Mode. You can also use your Dizo Watch to Capture Pictures, Control Music, Find your SmartPhone.
You can use your watch as a Torchlight when needed. The 600nits brightness comes into help and it is a handy feature when you are in Complete Dark surroundings.
Dizo Watch 2 has Bluetooth 5.0 and you need Dizo App to connect it with your smartphone and it is available on both Android and iOS. It is compatible with the devices running Android V5.0+ and iOS V9.0+.
Dizo App is the company’s first App for its SmartWatch. It shows all the activity data, Sleep data and you can set watch Faces and Camera Control using the App.
You also get updates for the watch and can be upgraded using the Dizo App. Using the Dizo App users can enable Notifications, Drinking reminders, Set Alarms, Do not Disturb mode, and Health Monitoring. You can customize your watch as per your needs using the watch.
Dizo Watch 2 packs a 260mah Battery and Company claims that it can last up to 10 days on a single charge. In my usage, it lasted 5 days on heavy usage with Notifications enabled, Health tracking on, 24/7 heart rate monitoring, and using Workout modes. It may vary depending on your usage. On Normal usage, the watch should last around 7-8 days
The watch takes around 2 hrs to charge Completely with the Magnetic Charger Provided in the Box.
- The biggest pro of it is its display and Build is the highlight and the key Selling point of the smart Watch.
- The other highlight of the device is its Fast and responsive UI.
- It also has 5ATM water resistance which is missing even on Smartwatches priced higher.
- Reliable health tracking features.
As there are Pros there are some cons as well. The cons of the Dizo Watch 2 are minor but can cost the user experience.
- The Find My Device feature is a very useful and handy one but when you use it the watch rings your mobile but you can’t stop it until it gets off. It takes around 20 seconds to get turned off and it is very annoying.
- It doesn’t display the name of the Song Playing.
- Average Battery Life
- Another con is the Watch sometimes gets disconnected from the App.
- Can’t set an alarm using Watch.
Although some of these things can be fixed through the Software update, Hope Dizo fixes all these issues in the future via an OTA Update.
Dizo Watch 2 is one of the best SmartWatch available right now under 3k in India. Looking at its Design, Display, and features Dizo watch 2 is a ready-to-go Smart Watch under 3k. Though it’s not completely baked there are some minor downs here and there but still, all the Basics of the device got right, and it’s an easy recommendation by me.
If you are looking for a smartwatch with Good looks and with Health tracking features and Sports modes under Rs. 3000 Dizo Watch 2 Shouldn’t disappoint you at all. Dizo Watch 2 is currently available at Rs. 2,299 on Flipkart during the Big Diwali sale. Later it will be priced at Rs. 2,999. Go and Grab it immediately before the offer ends.
